Yoga is an “all inclusive workout” and is gentle enough for someone who has not exercised for a while and challenging enough for someone who is in great shape.Stress is a common culprit of many health issues and through the exercise of yoga stress is dramatically reduced. Also because of the flexibility enhancing postures and balancing poses our bodies are less likely to become injured in other activities.

You’ll also notice:

  • Greater awareness and focus
  • Better posture
  • Toned & lengthened muscles
  • More energy
  • Better sleep

A Few Main Areas that Yoga Targets:

Core – Arms – Legs – Glutes – Back

Q: Is Yoga a religion?

A: Yoga is not a religion. We cultivate a balanced sense of mind, body, and spirit. This can enhance our spiritual practices no matter what our beliefs.

Q: Can I do yoga even if I’m not flexible?

A: Definitely! If your body is not flexible you do not have to get into the pose as deeply, but will still reap the same benefits. I offer modifications through class to decrease or increase sensations. With practice you’ll notice that you become more flexible!

Q: What should I wear?

A: Something comfortable, but not too loose. Yoga is done without shoes and socks for more stability.
